My mother was a lifelong registered Yankee Republican, back when they were sane but generally wrong about most things. She would never vote for a Republican because she said their candidates were "putrid," her word.

Cindy McCain is the type of Republican who could be bargained with in order to get things done. I'm afraid her party left her a very long time ago.

I used to read books and watch history channel docs about Nazi Germany. Im a GenXer by the way, with parents who lived thru the depression and WWII. They were lifelong Repubs, but didnt sugarcoat the Nazis atrocities(that they saw on newsreels in the movie theater). Anyway, I would read and watch and come away with one thought: "One Guy. One Guy did all of this.". Of course it wasnt one guy, but it started out that way. Now we have "One Guy" again. Thankfully, he is much older than Adolf was, but look at what this "One Guy" has already done and is continuing to do. The similarities are striking. I know Im preaching to the choir, but I feel like everything Ive learned since elementary school is being stolen, twisted and used against the people. I refuse to believe that there are that many stupid or lazy people in the USA.

Nope. Withdrawn it? Nope. So, you go right ahead with your outrage, I’ll worry about other stuff, like corrupt Senators, and Supreme Court members.

He may be lying here through his teeth here back then, but I'd love to see an ad that runs this clip in his his home state as an election ad. It would at least show how much of a back stabbing weasel he is.

I know your husband and Biden were friends. Biden seems to have found ways to get along with just about everybody on Capitol Hill through the years, regardless of party. Maybe that helps explain how much he’s been able to accomplish as President.

Furthermore, I think that has a lot to do with his ability to get things done.

So many of those politicians, like McCain and Graham, know him really well. They know what kind of a person he really is, and they know they can trust him. It's like his superpower.

An honest honorable man is welcome anywhere anytime, regardless of party affiliation. You knew where he stood on issues, and he was willing to discuss matters civilly with his opponents. What did we do to end up with the losers we currently have? Most politicians today are more loyal to their party than to their constituents, or worse yet, their county. Politicians and leaders of his generation played hardball too, but they had a sense of fairness, decorum, and most of all CLASS that our current "leadership" will never understand.

And looking at all the republican candidates, I think the primary turnout will be low.
