I have been a member of this august community for a while. Before President Obama was reelected, the right-wing talking heads we all discussed were stalwarts like Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity and Coulter.
Since the election, the board has been inundated by posts about S.E. Cupp, who seems about as silly as All Of The Above put together. What happened?

I tried watching the Cycle, but it gave me vertigo with all the spinning, and spinning, the whirling room. Too old I guess, as I didn't care for it, and wish Dylan Ratigan was back.
Bunch of people who've never really seen both sides, what an old Democrat used to be.

(22,893 posts)I've done so--twice-- citing her sassy, unprofessional demeanor. Not even so much that's she's a repuke-- just her know-it-all, pouty, immature behavior is impossible to watch.

(63,901 posts)honestly, I don't know how Cornell students make it for 4 years there...it is in the middle of absolutely nowhere and is horribly cold for a LONG time.....I had a dear family member who lived there and was in such isolation she drank too much and unfortunately died of cirrhosis of the liver a few years ago. I think the cold and isolation was just too much for her.

For you whippersnappers: Young ladies of breeding and refinement used to attend college primarily to find rich husbands. Think of women like Laura Bush and Ann Romney, who "married well." (In reality Laura and Ann married their men's checkbooks; if Shrub and Mitt weren't old money they couldn't have gotten laid with $100 bills pinned to their field jackets.)
A place with months of cold weather and nothing to do sounds perfect for courting; inventive, hormone-drenched youngsters can always find something to do.

Women had to fight much harder to get into those schools than men did and against very strong forces of sexism.

When Miss Cupp begins to get those little crinkles around the eyes and the little folds in the forehead that come with age, and she's no longer Smoking Hot Right Wing Babe, a chemical facelift and a Bible will solve all her problem$.

(7,515 posts)she's a right winger, but she is not stupid...regardless of how much you may not agree with her opinions....She has said she wished she had "faith" Joining a church has absolutely nothing to do with having a true belief in a god who listens and cares. That's what she envies....

(86,524 posts)She seems to be a proponent of the proverbial war on christmas, having penned a book about it... I think she entered "none" and some outside editing individual added that, perhaps. From her associations, it would be hard to imagine how she could be so popular with RW if she's not a believer. Remember, wiki is open to editing by outsiders. Just sayin'.

Personally I've only seen one picture of her and yes she's rather physically attractive which probably explains some of her sudden popularity. But I don't have enough time to get done all the things I want to, so I try not to spend too much time on people who hold no appeal for me. (Yes I note the irony of replying in this post)

(14,177 posts)She says she is an atheist. She also claims to be a conservative. But, unless she is on a rant it's kind of hard to tell. She doesn't push her viewpoint all that much. She pouts a lot. She has a habit of conflating issues. She props up a lot of her arguments with straw men. She says she supports Romney, yet never really said anything supportive of him other than she supports him. In fact she seemed to say more negative things about him than supportive. She does a really good impression of a plant.

(25,415 posts)They didn't want her either.
She is the token younger conservative on MSNBC. I suppose MSNBC needs someone besides Joe Scar, Steve Schmidt and Michael Steele for liberals to laugh at.
But the fact that this woman is only three years younger then me makes me laugh. She has a head full of air and not much to offer. Pretty immature. I guess she and Meghan McCain can always be buddies.

Somewhere, there's a factory that churns out the "Next Great Thing", that more often than not fizzles. I do remember when Bruce Springsteen came out in the mid-70's, he was accused of being created solely by hype, but he's the exception.
