Even it if means their loved ones will get arrested and sent to concentration camps. So long as they don't have to take polling calls or have people knock on their door again, it'll be worth it to them.

So long as all the people they don't approve of for whatever reason (LGBTQ+, "wrong" skin color, ethnicity, religion, politics, etc.) are all sent to the concentration camps, it'll be worth it to them.

I think that's their real priority. That and banning all the books, movies, etc, that they don't approve of,

It may start up the way you describe and they'll be okay with that too. Then when those people are gone and the next level of unacceptable people are arrested and sent away, that'll be okay with them too...just so long as it's not them.

What surprises me the most is that many minorities are supporting fascist policies that would pinpoint them specifically. They're not part of the pure white blood, yet they love the feeling of belonging and comradery they get from the people around them pushing such ideas. What the hell are they thinking? I suppose they're not history buffs.

Nov 21

CAUSE it, or is he just a typical con man who sees the opportunity to run his next con and just plays on what's already there? It's sure worked well for him so far. And all HIS anger and hate? I hate to break it to you, but Trump is no more or less angry and hateful than Dick Cheney was/is. Only difference between the 2, and these words are going to taste bitter as hell, Dick Cheney had more of public moral compass. When you lose the moral high ground to Dick Cheney, well that's pretty shocking. And W, well he wasn't the brightest and best either with his damn near illiterate look in the public spotlight. Is our children learning?

And Trumps bumbling and looking like a total tool in public, we'll, that didn't hurt him either. He got 62,985,106 voters to vote FOR him in 2016 then 74,223,369 in 2020, He GAINED 11,238,263 voters AFTER his 4 dismal years in the WH. And he is STILL a contender for 2024, no matter what he does. Do you actually believe this ALL suddenly materialized in 2015-2016 because of one man? It's been in our faces for decades. Problem is, "we" either ignored it, were too self absorb to see it or are just plain dumb. It's popular to blame ALL the ills in this country on Trump and the republicans ( and God knows they ARE the party of the stone age, this I don't deny, not even a little) but the fact of the matter is, Republicans have been broadcasting their "wish list" for decades, they haven't tried to hide it in the least, they have played the long game while the public focused on the Kardashians, American Idol and how many "likes" they had on social media while the R's just kept playing. In the U.S. the PEOPLE control who the government is. The PEOPLE have the power to change it at any time. And sadly, the PEOPLE gave us what we have now. By either direct action, or inaction. And "gerrymandering"! Election interference, those are ALL things that have been going on for a very, very long time! Still doesn't change the fact, the people get what the people allow. No amount of excuses will change that. But we have now just about reached the point of no return. The clock is running out and we have allowed the other team to run up the score, we are dangerously close to finding there is simply not enough time left to correct course.

half of America never votes at all. our last local election had a 30% turnout. folks are apathetic (until something personally affects them). we need more on the ballot than a battle between geriatrics. states with initiatives should have something which brings out the fence-sitters. Ohio and Virginia proved it with the abortion issue. Those of us non this site know trump is a criminal and should rot in prison, but we are educated and aware.

Going by the 2020 US Presidential numbers:

Total population of US = 330,000,000 Census

Total actual voting age population 2020 minus undocumented immigrants (10 mill est'd) and minors (74.2 mill) = 246,000,000

Total registered to vote 2020 = 152,666,000 (per Census) = 62% of total voting age population
registered as of Nov 3 2020 = 213,799,467 = 87% of the total voting age population

https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/number-of-registered-voters-by-state

Total unregistered to vote 2020 = 93,134,000 (Census) = 38% of total voting age population

Biden vote total = 81,282,903

(Cook Political https://cookpolitical.com/2020-national-popular-vote-tracker
33% of voting age population = 24% of total US population

Trump vote total = 74,223,030
= 30% of the total adult voting age pop = 22% of total US population

Vote winner differential = 7,059,547

Other votes (third party or write in) 2,891,441

AGAIN:

Total actual voting age population 2020 = 246,000,000

Total Registereds as of Nov 3 2020 = 213,799,467 = 87% of the total voting age population
https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/number-of-registered-voters-by-state

Total registereds who voted in 2020 (R + D + 3rd) = 158,397,374

Total voters WHO VOTED BUT DID NOT VOTE TRUMP (D + 3rd) = 84,174,344

Total registereds who did NOT vote in 2020 = 55,402,093

Total ADULTS WHO COULD HAVE REGISTERED AND WHO DID NOT VOTE IN 2020 (voting age pop minus registered who did/did not vote) = 246,000,000 - 158,394,605 = 87,605,395 = 35.6% of the adult population of the U.S.

+

TOTAL REGISTERED (213,799,467) WHO VOTED BUT DID NOT VOTE for Trump IN 2020 =
84,172,012 (D + 3rd) = 39% OF REGISTERED POPULATION,
AND = 34 % OF VOTING AGE POPULATION

Total US population (voting age adults, minors + undocumenteds) that did not vote for Trump = 255,777,407

The way I see it through numbers, America's “consent" is based on what the majority of Americans do.
