question about visiting WH

for you DC savvy people... I have put in my request through Peter Welch's office to visit the White House... does it help to request the same through Bernie Sanders and Pat Leahy's office or is that just redundant? (Rep Welch's office said they will let me know ? no guarantee)

There is a screening process you will be required to go through before they issue passes. I assume the wanted Social Security numbers of all who will be visiting so they could run security checks. I recall that is what we had to provide.

I shared earlier that my daughter just got hired by Homeland Security (TSA) and she assured me I wasn't on the "Terriorist Watch List"

...I work as a government contractor and have to pass these "checks" periodically...

line by a certain gate entrance, got to tour the White House. No preplanning. No requests. You just went and stood in line.

Once when i was 9 and again when i was in high school. Family vacation. My parents went the second time so the niece and two nephews that came to live with us would have a chance to go, and my sister too, who wasn't even born when we went the first time.
