Does Newt remind anyone else of Henry VIII?

He changes his religion for self enrichment (new wives) and destroys the lives of the wives past. He's pompous and arrogant. I'm sure there are other ways in which he is like Henry. This has been in my head since watching the Tudors last night.

A narcissist who lied as easily as breathing, imagined himself a good deal smarter than he actually was, and felt entitled to everything.
