Why has Tr***p been so keen on demanding Biden debates?

This is speculation, and now there are dates scheduled for these debates. Personally I think they'll still never happen. But I'm posting to share my speculation:

TFG famously avoided all the Repub primary debates this election, and it's difficult to call what he does in these venues "Debating".

But why is he so antsy now to do it?

Total speculation and I hope I'm wrong: He wants a nationwide forum to notify his deplorables to "stand down and stand by" or even worse. He has no interest in debating ideas, he wants a platform and he wants to sow chaos and violence asap. It's the message that "door's open boys, git yer guns" to avenge him that he needs a forum to spread.

If he does, I have low confidence that any broadcast or cable outlets will prevent spreading his message.

Just today Matt Gaetz said exactly this:
Matt Gaetz evokes ‘standing by’ language adopted by Proud Boys as he attends court with Donald Trump

I think this is their plan

Trump said he’d debate Biden “any time, any place”. The Biden announcement was in response to that

I never watched The Apprentice, but I did watch what Trump did to Romney between his election and his inauguration. Kept him dangling, jerked him around, humiliated him publicly. I watched him fire Comey from 3,000 miles away after Comey did what he wanted by smearing Hillary.

TSF wants the entire world to kiss his butt and hang on his every whim. He’s been poking at Joe to see what happens regarding a debate. Poke poke poke.

So President Biden has said yes, and has given parameters for dates, presentation, and conduct for making the event something dignified and informative, instead of the 3-ring clown show and pro wrestling match that Trump has engineered for the past decade.

As a result, TSF has started to writhe and whine that that’s not what he meant.

Expect more.

I honestly don't think he expected Joe to take him up on the debate challenge. Joe is THE most politically experienced President we've ever had and Dump knows it. We've had Presidents who were in politics, military, or ambassadorships. Dump is the only one who has never served our Country - and it shows.

From what I understand there won't be an audience at the debates, maybe that's why Dump might eventually pull out (something he's not famous for )

In any case, may he rot in hell.

The general rule is that the candidate that is desperately behind in the polls in the one that screams the loudest for lots of debates.

Now, we KNOW about the “classic” polling that gets reported and how terribly flawed those are. But I’m talking about the more informational INTERNAL polling that candidates get telling them where they’re strong, but more importantly…where they’re weak.

It’s my feeling that the “internals” are pretty abysmal for TSF—showing not just an erosion of #s within his so called base, but also a drop in enthusiasm for him across the GOP spectrum—aka, an electoral disaster.

And thus, the cry for a jillion debates. The idea being that debates are an effective “instant offense” to spike your candidate’s #s quickly. A microwaved boost.

I do see those unreleased internals as a major albatross for him though. And I base my theory on what we’ve been seeing with the large number of GOO incumbents begging off from this cycle and retiring either early or not running. Why do that if your party is going to not just hold, but expand its hold on a tenuous House and flip the Senate?

Why? Well…think of it this way…

Who walks away from the blackjack table if you KNOW the next card you hit for is gonna give you “blackjack”?

Who walks away from a winning hand?

The answer is…no one.

You walk away if you know you’re gonna lost the pot.

Thats what I think the internals are telling here. And thus, TSF’s crazed Hail Mary ask for debates on top of debates.

for some odd reason, so he could play the "tough guy" by demanding debates.....
probably started believing too much in his own maggot talking points....

Also, he suffers from the delusion that he "won" his previous GE debates
in 2016 and especially 2020,
by shouting down his debate opponents---

Unfortunately for him, according to the rules he has agreed to,
he won't be able to do that this time---

or, as Steven Colbert said, 'he will appear to be the most angry mime in history' LOL
