She is referring to an article written by Robin Givhan of the Washington Post, not the NYT, written in 2006. Robin is a fashion critic. She won her Pulitzer for fashion criticism. She often wrote about politicians and celebrities. She did write that Martha Ann's suit looked like a Lazy Boy, paraphrasing. She also wrote that she went to Princeton and knew all about the alumni Group Sammy joined to prevent women and minority admissions.
