Republican establishment does not like competition in choosing nominee...

No matter how flawed, the Republican establishment has chosen Mitt Romney as the person they want to run against Barack Obama. The Republican voters have little to say about it. They will not be asked to vote for one person or the other. They will be told who to vote for.

I cannot recall, in all my years, a candidate so out of touch and so flawed as Mitt Romney. Except for maybe, Newt Gingrich? At this time in our history when the nation is focused on the 1% against the 99%, Mitt Romney and the Republicans flaunt the fact that Romney has skirted the tax laws and is unabashedly part of the 1%.

The Republicans, like good soldiers, fall in line with their Party dictates. The people say, "but the emperor has no clothes". The Republican leaders say, "look at that fine suit" that Romney is wearing. The Republican voters are asked to ignore the fact that the emperor is naked.

I would say that with all its flaws, the Democratic Party is much more competitive in choosing its nominees.
