He should run for the top of the ticket some day. I love the guy, but this isn't the context for him.

Good track record as governor, popular in a swing state, effective communicator.

If not her, then Buttigieg and Shapiro next, though I'm not convinced about Shapiro. Very new, and it could be seen as a craven grab at Pennsylvania rather than being an authentic choice about governing.

I don't think Maryland is a big issue. Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan.... those are the worries.
