Things Joe needs to do before he leaves office

Some of these he wont do, because he is an honorable man, but here's my list of "To Dos"
He needs to do them after the election as not to give the cult any extra ammo.

1) Hard or maybe impossible without help from Congress, but expand the SCOTUS. Maybe via executive order?

2) Make cannabis federally legal. Again, maybe via executive order.

3) Sounds like the case might get thrown out, but grant Hunter a pardon just for the fact it would cause the cultists heads to explode. This is one I doubt he would do, but oh my would it be fun.

4) Implement some form of sane, comprehensive gun control via EO again.

I'm sure some cant be done without legislation, but one can dream. What's on your list?

1. By EO, declare that ANWR is off limits to oil exploration and drilling in perpetuity.
.
2. By EO, declare that the U.S. will join the ICC
.
3. By EO, declare that any and all religious organizations are not exempt from federal taxation.
.
4. By EO, declare the legal validity, financial liability and enforceability of all treaties that the U.S. EVER made with native Americans.
.
5. By EO, declare that Antarctica is forever off limits to development by any and all U.S. companies and corporations.
.
6. By EO, declare that the oil and gas industry is 100% legally and financially responsible for the ongoing climate crisis. As a consequence, they must pay for the damage their product has caused, and pay for the cost of adapting to it. By EO, cancel the federal oil depletion allowance.
.
7. By EO, declare that Citizens United is no longer a Constitutional right. Declare by EO that corporations are not people, and that money is not free speech.
.
8. By EO, declare that no U.S. president was, is now nor ever will be above any laws of the land.
.
9. By EO, declare that a woman has the right to privacy when it comes to her own body. Declare by EO that this is the law of the land.
.
10. By EO, declare that assault weapons are no longer legal to own.
.
11. By EO, declare the Equal Rights Amendment to be the law of the land.
.
12. By EO, declare gerrymandering to be unlawful.

13. By EO, bring back the Chevron Doctrine.
.
14. By EO, institute term limits for all federally elected officials and for all members of SCOTUS.
.
15. By EO, enact a balanced budget. There was a balanced budget amendment suggested in the days of old when we dug up the Gold, and water tasted like wine. It was to require that the federal government not spend more than its income in a fiscal year, except under certain circumstances. Despite significant support at times, it has never become law.
.
16. By EO, dissolve/disband the Electoral College.
.
17. By EO, close down all U.S. bases in NATO member countries.

18. By EO, remove all U.S. nuclear weapon assets from Turkey.
.

It's dream scape stuff, only if one dreams of an authoritarian dictatorship.

We have a legislature for a reason.

tennis pavilion to the ground, and replace it with Obama’s half-court basketball court Trump had ripped up and buried under that tennis court.

President Harris’s WNBA friends would probably approve.

It's not in his nature to flaunt the law. And most of the suggestions here would do exactly that. He would tarnish his own legacy. Plus, assuming Harris wins, he would be putting her in an impossibly bad position. She would have to decide whether to defend these actions in court, where she would almost certainly lose. Or she could not defend them. Either way, not a good start to an administration.

I'm not sure how fantasizing does any good, but since I'm guessing these posters aren't serious, I suppose its just a harmless waste of time.

It was selective, vindictive prosecution and no one not named Biden would have been tried and convicted for such nit-picky small violations.

The apathetic voter, the independent voter. At least the ones I know or have observed care mainly about money in their pocket. The social issues of Project 2025 are of secondary interest to them. We can show how Project 2025 will make things worse, but personally I'm desperately waiting for concrete, understandable plans to help the working poor, who have short memories about the economic past. They just know they are struggling now. Remember, these are people who don't have investments, so all the talk about the great stock market figures are moot, and actually offensive.

Making it unequivocal that Ukraine can target military targets even if they are within Russian territory itself, in order to defend itself.

Oh yeah, and pardon Hunter (after November). Because fuck all that shit.

But he was a traditionalist, and wouldn't have advocated for breaking the filibuster. We could have expanded the court to 15, and put six of the youngest, most liberal justices on there that we could find.

Of course, that opens the door for the GOP to do the same.
