(6,568 posts)It's like Harrison Ford winning an Oscar when you prefer Jeff Bridges . No big deal.
Without doubt I will not pout. I'm devoutly looking forward to the stout rollout of our ticket with clout.

(3,210 posts)I just figure that if I trust Kamala Harris to be the leader of our nation, then I can trust her to pick the best running mate. No angst - just celebration.

(5,124 posts)I won't ever really get over it. Ask my friends or family if I still fume to this day about Lieberman or Kaine. So, I chose 'pout' because that's the most accurate (and honest) response.

(5,124 posts)then why on earth would it be sarcasm? People are allowed to second-guess and not like a VP pick even years afterward and still be a good Democrat. That would also not be sarcasm.
It's a moot point in this case anyway because I like the pick. So onward and upward.

(13,599 posts)Everyone on the short list was good in different strategic way.
She picked someone who is closest the what the base would be comfortable with, not what the money and beltway strategists want.
It's all good. I'm getting an idea of what she wants to focus on, and it appears she picked someone who she feels comfortable working with on domestic issues.

(18,016 posts)Are we ever going to get past this evil? Since I have been unemployed for over two months (have a job offer to start this month), I haven't been focused on the election. Totally tore down all my social media and made it bland as anything.
Walz is a good candidate, but I hope he brings more energy to the ticket than Kaine (which was a huge mistake). He is crafted to check Vance (another former military). Someone actually knows how to run a state and be an executive and legislator. Hope he is enough in Pennsylvania and the other two or three states we need along with it (assuming Georgia doesn't come in).
