He'll be at the rally tonight
Over the next 90 days, I look forward to traveling all across the Commonwealth to unite Pennsylvanians behind my friends Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and defeat Donald Trump.
See you tonight in Philly.

(2,951 posts)I think Walz wont seek higher office and giving Shapiro time to deepen his resume of success in PA was a good choice for the party all around.

(88 posts)... because more and more Repugnant politicians are looking to BREAK OUR LAWS to illicitly gain more power. We need former PROSECUTORS elected into higher places to help deter/corner/corral such Repuke criminals-in-waiting. I'm sure Shapiro will be considered for a future presidential ticket, when Kamala has to stand down for the 2032 election! Until then, maybe she should grab him for Attorney General ... I'm pretty much DONE with Merrick G at this point.

(2,339 posts)and expect a string of equally classy statements from the other contenders in the hours ahead. A group of honorable people with the country's best interests at heart. Such a contrast with the collection of selfish jerks in the MAGA zoo.

(65,351 posts)Ill be happy to have him continue as governor. Especially since Walz was a very close second in my VP preference.

I think Shapiro should stay in Pennsylvania (he was my fave for VP, but not sure he really needs to be on the cabinet). He is really a great democrat - he had humble parents, graduated college with honors & JD from Georgetown at night. Really a hard worker. I love that he is pro-Israel, and I don't care what other people think about that.

(88 posts)... he was much too slow to ignite the Special Counsel for the very serious J6 and Stolen Docs crimes by the DonVict. Consequently, with no trials now possible before Election Day, there still persists the possibility that the deranged felon might win the presidency again. And thereby trigger these cases to be canceled.
To me and most Americans, not appointing a SC for J6 by the end of 2Q 2021 was a severe dereliction of basic duty from new AG Garland. Hes a good man, well credentialed, and all that. But his public demeanor is not confidence inspiring for a high officer of the presidential Administration, and appearing to be MIA for well over a year regarding J6 was inexcusable.

He will have been out of office for six years by that point otherwise. Not much of a platform to run from.
