WTF is wrong with MSNBC?

They're talking to still undecided voters and going on and on about how Kamala Harris still has a long way to go to win voters over, yada, yada. Were they watching the same debate they showed last night? Were they watching their own victory celebration afterward?

I know...I shouldn't have turned my TV on before Nicole came on.

They chime in when one of my friends posts a meme congratulating Kamala or laughing at TSF. Normally these defenses of him are the usual “how great he is” kind of things, but after last night the cult has really taken their cue from him and are attacking her in the most sick and disgusting ways, and are just parroting the same old hackneyed lies and tropes. It’s pathetic really because these people presumably watched the same debate we all did and to divorce yourself from reality that hard has to cause some damage to one’s psyche.

i recall missing the Gore/Bush debate where everyone said Gore botched it by shaking his head a certain way when Bush spoke.

I later saw a tape of the debate, and Gore was terrific. Someone picked at something of minor importance, made a big deal of it, and the news took off. Most people rated that debate on the media coverage.

I expect as Kamala practiced her expression for how to react to Trump's lies on the split screen she was not only thinking of Biden, but of the Bush-Gore debate. Shake your head, but not too much. Be relaxed and smile a lot. Every nuance matters because a Dem, especially a Black woman, has to be perfect.

A long way to go to win voters over? How in the hell are you coming up w/ this? She's been part of Joe Biden's admin since day 1, and now of a sudden you're coming up w/ this crap?

They are just making up headlines to get more clicks online. And they're just plain lazy, they don't want to create or dig into new headlines.

Being an 'undecided voter' has become a part of their identity. It's the only reason anyone wants to talk to them and find out what THEY think. They have 'friends' now in other undecided voters with something to talk about. They ain't letting go, it's not about the election or democracy. It's selfishness or loneliness or importance or something else.

don't know and don't want to know and there is nothing either TFG or Harris can do about that. They don't decide until the ballot is in front of them and there is nothing rational about their decision process.

It's how democracy works, the dunderheads and the cautiously deliberative all necessary to the process. Brring the massive amount of propaganda we saw from Putin and his allies in 2016, the stystem mostly works.

This is a David Sedaris quote from 2020 that is still relevant:
I look at these people and can't quite believe that they exist. Are they professional actors? I wonder. Or are they simply laymen who want a lot of attention? To put them in perspective, I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. "Can I interest you in the chicken?" she asks. "Or would you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broken glass in it? To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked.
