The first responders are absolutely right to warn, apply a cutoff time, and then refuse to answer calls for help.

remind me of the undecided voters in this election. Both leave me gobsmacked.

Not speaking about those who can't leave. That's a totally different story.
In any case, I hope for the best for all affected by the storm tonight.
Can't imagine what they're going through.
