The theme for this month's contest is "photos that remind me of a song". Photographers were instructed to use either the title of the song or a lyric from the song as the title for their entry. If a lyric was used, the song title will be included in parentheses.
This month's contest was originally to be hosted by AndyS, who we sadly lost to cancer last December. We dedicate this month's contest to him, and to all other DU'ers who have been lost to us.
Here are the FINALISTS! Please vote for your favorite that best represents the theme for this month's contest. Finals will run for 72 hours.

(92,134 posts)The photographer lives near Tampa and has a view from his garage of northern flight paths of planes from Tampa International.

(3,642 posts)The moon is huge because it was shot with a very long telephoto lens. I didn't shoot it, but I would bet the photographer knows there is a flight path there and was waiting for the jet to fly by.
There are several places in Los Angeles where we can get similar shots. There are also several apps that help in planning shots like this.
Shots like this take some skill and planning.

(16,331 posts)this one seems to be the one I'm having the most difficulty choosing one, probably due to the addition of an appropriate song. So I chose "You'll Never Walk Alone" in honor of all those DUers who have left this earthly planet.

(8,366 posts)Is like God provided you with an illustration of what the hymn is talking about, and it's also true. All the others were semi-miraculous too. Lovely contest.
