Its nice to see MSNBC slowly acknowledge that actually news occurs on weekends.

Lineup Today includes

8-10 Chris Hayes

12-1 Alex Wagner

1-2 Andrea Mitchell

2-3 News Nation

3-4 Martin Bashir

4-6 Daily Rundown

6pm South Carolina Primary

And for those of us, who are seeking our usual weekend prison porn fetish fix.... MSNBC still doesn't disappoint.

Lockdown comes on at midnight!! Tonight they are going to a North Carolina women's prison!!!! Wooo, I can't wait!

I checked the listings and see an "Andrea Mitchell Reports" coming up, and wondered -- are these reruns?

This is really GREAT.

We need to contact MSNBC and let them know it's appreciated and that we ARE watching!

They now have Chris Hayes for 2 hours in the morning. (And it might be the best cable news show in TV.)

And starting Feb. 4th, Melissa Harris Perry will have her own show which will follow Hayes on Saturday and Sunday morning. I was actually disappointed in this. I wanted more news programming in prime-time on Sat/Sun. But at least it is a start.

Yes, his show is excelent. Fortunately I am up most Saturday and Sunday mornings to watch but there's so much in each program, it's worth a second watch...also to give it exposure to others who prefer to sleep in.

Unfortunately the prison shows rate higher than the news shows still and that is what matters to the suits who run the network.
