Sarah Palin was a NOBODY before John McCain elevated her from governor of a low-population state with less than two years of experience to a platform on the national stage.

Newt Gingrich has been around forever, and in the media spotlight since at least 1994. No one GAVE us Newt.

That kicked Newt off with the audience, because he was right. Of all the important issues to cover, that John King would START with a personal scandal about one of them was lacking in journalism expertise. He could've gotten away with it later on in the debate, but to kick it off with that? The audience liked Newt's anger at that, because he was right. Bet the debate moderators don't make that mistake again.
