We can't help how we look. We CAN help how we dress, how we present ourselves.

With that preamble, WHAT is with Mrs. Gingrich III's hairdo?

First off, that front sweep squicks me no end.

Second off, I will pay a bounty to anyone who provide video proof that it IS actual hair and is capable of moving.

This has been on my mind for a while. I just HAD to say it.

By the way, if Skul or Jukin are your kids, you have my deepest sympathy.

I've seen that highly-shellacked suthren-gentry bubble all my life. In my 55 years on life, I've never met anything nice under it.

When she was just a staffer on the Hill, and, as most suspected, tending to Newtie's staff, it was longer and not so ... architectural.

I can't ever see her without picturing her getting busy with Newtie on the copier!

Otherwise he wouldn't have been so enamoured of her for eight long years, "sneaking around" on Marianne and playing the hypocrite when it came to Clinton's pitiful, by comparison, little dalliances.

That's what I heard. I don't know for a fact it is true.

I read recently that she has her hair "blown out" every day. Let's see here. I have no idea how much a wash and style would cost in the DC area. Let's just say $50 an occurrence, shall we? That's $350 a week. Her colorist probably gets at least $100 every six weeks; that platinum blonde color is not found in nature. She probably has her hair trimmed every six weeks as well; I'm adding another $100 to that total. If she's seeing a top stylist, she could be spending up to $250 for that haircut.

My ballpark calculations of the yearly cost of Callista Gingrich's hair care: $18,000. This is not including waxing (eyebrows, upper lip and chin; probably costs another $60 - 80 every 4-6 weeks, if she's waxing elsewhere, she's spending a lot more money,) professional makeup application, clothing, shoes, accessories, and oh, yeah, her jewelry.

Another thing: It's probably tax deductible...

I thought she made that clear in her interview with Chuck Todd. Unfortunately, he didn't follow up, choosing instead to inquire as to her favorite color of toilet paper.
