30% of primary voters cast absentee and early votes, so Mitt is assured of first place. But will it be his "firewall" and how big does he have to win to get full credit for the win?

Likely, Romney will not win Florida by a wide margin (a single digit win).

he is too close in policy to what they will want to run against

As of last night, the GOP (circus of rabid animals) primary is wide open.

(8,224 posts)That said, republicans nominated Rick Scott (TP) for Governor in 2010. Gingrich would not take the state in the general, but he could take the closed republican primary. The biggest problem Newt will have in the general is that he sounds too much like Scott, who currently polls in the high 20s to low 30s.
