DOGE sends threatening "Fork" email to every federal judge, urging them to resign or else. Link provided.

I’m sorry for posting a twitter link.

These judges are of course appointed for life. The person in this video, who some posters have said is a lawyer (if so, he would know whar he is talking about, I think) seems to think it was a huge self-own by Musk and the incels.

...it's been said that it was supposedly erroneously sent to federal judges along with all other federal employees.

Will rule based on the law and the merits of a case. Not a potential future defendant having "crossed" them

Not a sense of outrage that Musk and his ilk could actually do such a thing--but a jump to assuming judges would bend to his will--that they are all somehow as corrupt as Trump and his minions. It sounds like something we'd hear from the other side in justification of this outrageous act if true.

Losing our fair and impartial judiciary does way more harm IMO. These kinds of things rely on knee jerks, I lived through Fitz, Mueller and beyond.

My knee is steady. I don't need anyone telling me when and if to panic. I'll know when that time comes. So far, I see nothing but red meat and efforts to distract, which I'm not getting bent out of shape over.

They're probing.

They wanted to see how long it'd take for the roadblocks to go up. They discovered it took weeks, meaning each exec order will take weeks to be effectively challenged. Since code and techy-things happen in real-time, I can only assume they have determined they can run at full-speed while the system takes weeks to find its footing and figure out how to hit back.

Would explain the flurry of executive action. And it should surprise no one, they telegraphed their plans months in advance.

For the record, I'll worry about what I want with or without your permission. Ok? Group think got us into this mess.

who's hearing your case. A judge can rule correctly according to the facts and the law and still hose you.

Here would be my takeaway

"if this dumbass is trying to pull some blatantly illegal and threatening shit on me, then maybe I should consider everything they put in front of me as suspect"

Credibility matters when you are trying to make your case to anyone. Especially a judge.

Just not sure if that is reality. People shouldn't take a reasonable action from an impartial judge and imply they are for or against anyone. They're for the law.. whoever's side that happens to be on is who they should rule for.

The last remaining institution of trust is under continual assault. They don't control the budget (thats congress) and they don't have entire agencies acting as a police force (the executive). They have their legitimacy and that's pretty much it

One of the issues of fact here is if those people are competent to do the jobs they are currently doing, those emails suggest they aren't.

since these idiots have absolutely no idea how the federal government actually works. I kind of hope some of the judges respond with something like, "Can you say "lifetime appointment"? And while you're at it, kindly fuck right off."
