A federal worker with 25 years of service explains why he is leaving now, and what is happening to our government.

https://federalnewsnetwork.com/commentary/2025/02/why-im-leaving/

My husband sent me the article.

I have Trump voting relatives back home in Montana who think it will be great when the government is gone, and their taxes will be lower.

Boy will they be shocked when the leopard eats their faces.

Do they plan on reducing our military forces too?

Also only ten percent of what we have, now?

Boy will we be easy to conquer and turn into biofuel once we have no government and no military,

They only need a pared down force since they won't need them for anything other than keeping we serfs in line. They plan on hacking their way into controlling the entire world... just like they are doing here.

Montana's a goner, I'm leaving asap, it's not the same kind of culture that was here when I arrived decades ago.

Relatives there have turned into.

The people who are Trumpers from there, which seems like most of Montana, have turned into cruel angry hateful people and I don’t see how anyone could stand to have anything to do with them.

I’m sorry Montana is losing a good person like you though.

And I am sorry because I know it hurts to leave a home you once loved, and it is scary to go to a new place.

To come to this for me, been here for 20, but I'm over the sad part and now I'm just mad at the idiots here and those coming here. I love it enough to leave it. I speculate that the Yellowstone ecosystem will crash in the next few years, I think I'll not bear witness to that. I put in over 20 years trying to protect it but I'm done.

My new name for this place is Magatana.

I'm returning to my childhood region, not so unfamiliar. It will be new in many ways but familiar in many others.

I feel your dismay, it's just another example of why our species is not the best thing to ever happen even when we claim that it is so.

Hope you're doing better where you are. It's getting so that only wealthy people can afford to live here and I am glad to go elsewhere, finally.

gone? Believe there's a myth out there that gov't. is a profit-making business instead of the provider of services to the taxpayers. The fetid felon and Musk have lived to make money, not govern a country.

Only the civilians working for the DoD. And then turn around and pay private contractors to fill those same positions. This happened under Reagan and Bush. Ended up costing the taxpayer more money.

Other than them all getting "the email," No real threats to them so far. Or the contracts I'm working. But that could change. We'll see.

I'm very senior at my company and will probably be okay regardless.... unless the whole system just collapses.

More worried for my wife who is a left-leaning colleg eprofessor at a state university in a red state that has bascially eliminated tenure. I think she's more at risk than I am. She is eligible for retirement if things get bad, but she doesn;t want to retire yet.

These people are ripe for conspiracy theories and they seem to have no clue how government should work for them.
Deregulation was just another Reagan mantra to disadvantage the workers...they are so lost it's a tragedy.

I am in tears.

The government is being decimated beyond repair and none of the politicos care. They are willing to gut our national security and end our safety.

I am becoming more and more convinced they want not only the government reduced by 80% but the population as well.

Unless Republicans join us in fighting back, we are doomed.

They want all of us dead. Starting with liberals and the old and sick people first.
