Removing "queer" and "transgender" from the Stonewall memorial is erasure of one of the most consequential events in our society.

Black history is a reminder of the amazing hope, perserverance, and patriotism in American History.

Immigrants and slaves built this country. Poor laborers of all diversities have died building this country.

Women literally gave birth to this country.

I watched a "right to life" rally recently and Vance said " we're going to make sure the word abortion is a term people will no longer even remember" (or close to that)

Removing us from history is denying our very existence. They don't think we are worthy of life.

They will try to rewrite our truth, just like they did to the socialist worker's movement. They made "red neck" and "socialist" contemptuous terms.

I truly believe we are living through a modern eugenics movement by the rich and powerful.

I've read that book several times.

It kind of describes what my uncles did back then. They traveled from Oklahoma's dust bowl of a farm...it was their Dad's farm who had died of TB. And they went to California to try and make some money for the family. But they came back soon after. They never got confronted by sheriff, cops or angry citizens. They just said they couldn't find any work.

Eventually they went back to working the farm with their mother and other siblings. But it was years before the farm was workable.

Hopefully, I can hang on to this farm and grow some food. Depends on how much pedo Trump and Muskrat steal from my Social Security.

disorganized organized to start is kinda nice because there are so many ideas to then organize and people will pick their best places. Work it down, make it usable and important to your group and you will nurture the group. You will find that is about all it takes to start to make a group. It is all a hell of a task but worthwhile. Just do not let it go and it will grow.

This is just my experience. It worked amazingly well for us. I was not in on the creating side, I was on the newbie side but grew to be much more than that. None of these ideas came from me but I sure watched it all happen. Keep the love going as much as you can and you can really get things done. many of us women took back the word "witches" and started using it with pride. We'd stare down anyone who tried staring us down. We engaged in conversation, whether or not the (usually always) xtianist wanted to converse. There was a whole host of words that the "mainstream church" had made out to be of the devil, evil, and always woman-related. Witch, Midwife, Druid, and others. That gave us a few decades of at least tolerance by others, once they really listened to us. We were even invited into Interfaith Communities as equal partners.

I'm seeing all the gains we made swept away with tidal wave trump and his unholy evangelicals. And I say this, with MY upbringing being in an evangelical church. These people can quote pieces of scripture to you, but have no understand of what they're saying... and most of the time if you call them on it, they can't even give you any context. They don't understand their own damned religion, let alone anyone else's. Nor do they care to change... the same as it is with the "culture war" atrocities.

I do worry where the future will lead for those of us who don't conform to male, white, christianist. There's a lot of Christians out there that are going to be very surprised to find out their brand of Christianity just doesn't make the cut, and are lumped in with the rest of us.
