We were caught flat footed AGAIN when the election in 2004 was stolen. Are we prepared for another stolen election? Or are we going to capitulate to the authoritarian masters again?

While I disagree with Gore V. Bush (Should have just counted all the votes and did so on the same standards, even if it blew the timeline) it isn't that likely. If we lose, it is most likely that we will lose because they get more votes.

Not enough votes, you lose.

If people can't see how dangerous and destructive the GOP is, what can you do?

Of course, the Dems have to do what they can to try to get the word out in no uncertain terms what it will mean to have the GOP in power.

None of this 'professional courtesy' crap, or 'taking the high road' - it needs to be made clear that the GOP will DESTROY the social protections and safety nets that took so many years to build.

Seriously. The conservatives were bracing themselves to vote for ...ack... Romney, who by their own description is not even a "real" conservative...if it came down to it, anybody to get Obama out.

If they were prepared to vote for that pompous, stiff, super-rich vulture capitialist who is also a member of a "cult", then they can vote easily for Gingrich

That's the one way the Dems can lose.

Years ago I covered a school funding campaign for a small local paper. One of the pro-levy people said 'we can't just do 100 percent of what's required to win. We have to do 150 percent of what's required.'

That's how you win. Leave nothing to chance.

Obama will not walk the way he did in 2008. It's going to be a real fight this time. If we sleep on the Republican nominee, they will steamroll us. It's going to be a battle.

I'd say that Obama has a 65 percent or more chance of reelection. But anything short of 100 is not a sure thing.

The 08 election was hardly a cake walk for Obama. I remember shortly after the rethug convention, McCain was leading in the polls. Obama, didn't bounce back until after a few debates. The MSM was saying the same exact thing they are saying now, which the independants are voting for Mittens. There was all this talk about McCain pulling more indys, thank God that didn't happen in the end.

They parrot failings of the administration and Democrats in general, and simply fail to get out the vote. The African-American and Hispanic vote is simply not enough to take Obama or the Democrats over. We need a good chunk of whites.

It doesn't matter what the cause - whether or not artificial.

People think the president has a gas price magic wand, and they do not understand the basics of how much petroleum there is, where it is, and the true cost of extracting and refining it.

They do know. To the penny. How much they pay for gasoline.

Your OPs and all responses I can recall are never positive toward democrats. You seemed to have a thing for Grinch a day or two ago.

Is the publican party so hard up for ideas and oppo research they sent you here to talk to the intelligent crowd?

The economic indicators are good right now. But they aren't that good and they could turn bad at any point in the next 9 months. The european debt crisis, the price of oil, a major natural disaster, any of these things could have horrible affects at this point, and they are almost completely out of the control of the administration.
