Donald Trump’s policies risks alienating millions of international travelers and could cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars due to a sharp drop in tourism, a damning report says.

Amid the president’s immigration crackdown, travel bans and sweeping global tariffs, the U.S. is expected to be the only one out of 184 countries to see foreign visitor spending fall in 2025, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council.

The study suggests that the U.S. economy is on track to lose $12.5 billion in international spending this year alone – but the actual shortfall might be much greater ...

The WTTC projects the U.S. to be on track to lose $12.5 billion in international visitor spending this year compared to last year, according to the research.

It could be argued, however, that the actual losses will be significantly larger, given that Tourism Economics, a division of Oxford Economics, had originally forecasted the U.S. would see a 9% jump in international inbound travel in 2025.

A 9% increase would have equated to a boost of about $16.3 billion in revenue for the U.S. economy.

Instead, Tourism Economics has revised its baseline forecast to a year-over-year decline of 8.2%—a significant 17.2% variance from its original 9% increase ...

America is losing international tourists fast, with states like Florida and Nevada already feeling the economic shock. Experts warn 2025 could see tens of billions in lost tourism revenue if the trend continues.

... In April, for example, a 28-year-old Welsh tourist was held for 19 days in an ICE processing centre in Washington state after being denied entry to Canada over what she later termed a "visa mix-up" ...

Additionally, in March, Canadian actress Jasmine Mooney was held for nearly two weeks after being detained at the San Ysidro border crossing, where she was attempting to renew her visa to enter the US.

She later described the conditions of her detention as inhumane, and described being kept in a concrete cell with no blanket and limited access to a bathroom. She was later released without being charged with any crime.

Her case caught the attention of British Columbia Premier David Eby, who said the incident further inflamed Canadian anxieties about travelling to the US ...

Pittsburgh Airport, and reports the incoming international flights are mostly full.

It may take several months for international tourism to reduce much. Most people purchase their tickets months in advance, and can't hope to refund them, so they may as well make the trip.

Except for those who have prepaid trips for work and/or family commitments, none have booked trips to the USA this summer. They know there is a de facto 15% discount, due to the dollar’s decline against the pound, euro and Swiss franc. But they have also seen the articles and headlines about innocent people sent to concrete cells for ten days, and even if their chances of being so treated are one in a million, it’s not worth it. Their attitude is simply, “Why would I voluntarily travel to a country where that is even a remote possibility?”

Why, indeed?

The Liar-In-Chief will assure us that it will come back, thanks to him, and the reason there are fewer tourists is because of Biden and Obama, along with other Communist Democrats. AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Governor Newsome are all why tourists are not coming, he will tell his minions.
The US is on the verge of totalitarianism. Tourism will go down to zero if this crap is kept up.

You wouldn’t vacation in Germany in the 2939s. You wouldn’t vacation in Russia under Putin. Don’t vacay in the USA now.

The world needs to boycott America!
