Ugh. Have You Seen the List of Some of the People On The NRA Board?

Every single one of them has done or said something ridiculous to the point that we should question their sanity.

Grover Norquist is on the NRA board. Plus, some others I didn't realize were such extremists. For example: Tom Selleck who said:

In a contentious interview on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show”, Selleck indicated that gun violence is a price we must pay for freedom in the United States by saying, “What I’m talking about is, are we a responsible enough society, in terms of television, in terms of guns, in terms of everything else, to be this free? That should frame the debate. My answer, unfortunately, in this culture, is ‘probably not.’ But I’m going to go down with the civil liberties ship.” He also asked O’Donnell, “Do you really think the Second Amendment is in the Constitution to guarantee hunting and target shooting?”
among other insane rantings from Tom Selleck, you can find here: http://www.meetthenra.org/nra-member/Tom%20Selleck

Then there's NBA player Karl Malone: http://www.meetthenra.org/nra-member/Karl%20Malone

As well as not surprising bat-shit aficionado Ted Nugent: http://www.meetthenra.org/nra-member/Ted%20Nugent

And don't forget wing-nut extremist Chuck Norris who gets paid $1Million/yr by the NRA as a celebrity spokesman, his rantings are highly psychotic: http://www.meetthenra.org/nra-member/Chuck%20Norris

List of NRA Board members. Click name to read controversial statements: http://www.meetthenra.org/board-list

From the homepage: http://www.meetthenra.org/

Here you can sort NRA leaders by 'type': http://www.meetthenra.org/sort-leaders

I knew these people were bat-shit insane, but I had NO IDEA some of these people were THIS ^^^ bat-shit insane.

and needs to be sent to the nearest mental insitution for a complete evaluation before releasing them to the public. Otherwise, they stay in that mental institution.

They need to own up on what NRA is all about.

I keep getting "in trouble" for voicing this opinion on DU, but gun-nuttiness should be treated as a mental illness, albeit mostly minor.

Delicate Flower-itis, which is a term for this form of mental illness, is what turns "intelligent, but troubled, but mostly quiet kid" into "Newtown Massacre Architect". Delicate Flower-itis would be considered a form of, and related to, manic/depression or paranoia. Acting Out figures prominently in bad cases of D.F.

Any mental illness is on a continuum. I don't think too many DU-ers would disagree that the most extreme of the NRA board members suffer from true mental illness.

Slang Dictionary
Lexical Item or Phrase: White hats

Connotations: This term is used for describing affluent white males, particularly frat boys

how bout-
gun nuttiness is called "tendency towards unnescessaty roughness" or "exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct"

so they will be able to understand the law if they bother to read it!
