I have a dream. (A short New Years rant)

This cold-hearted aberration that is today's America is the last gasp of the greed merchants. It will not stand Humane forces are even now gathering together, unifying in the sea of information that we now have available to us, taking shape as did the first life forms in the primordial soup, learning to separate soul-nourishing truth from poisonous lies.

The Occupy movement is one such natural experiment. It may survive, may mutate drastically, or may die, but it will have enriched the complexity of the soup by its being. New and as yet unimagined social innovations will arise. We will discover ways of exalting love, compassion and wisdom over fear, rage and reaction.

My generation, the 60's generation (both by decade and by age) made some strides, but didn't quite make it to a self-reproducing stage. We were not exactly a failed experiment, but an aborted one. It's up to a new generation to put us over the top, to slay the patriarchal monster and free the species to start actualizing its magnificent potential.

I hope to live long enough to see the rise of the New Age.
