The House servile scum fucked the whole thing up. What's left? This was brought up last time, but I don't remember the answer. I know the whole physical cliff is made up bullshit, but why not tell them to pound sand and invoke it and be done.

The 14th amendment discussion was about the debt limit, which is not related to the 'fiscal cliff'

(26,366 posts)3. The 14th amendment discussion was about the debt limit, which is not related to the 'fiscal cliff'
issue currently being discussed which concerns a bunch of tax issues and spending programs like extending
unemployment insurance which changed Jan 1st. See http://money.cnn.com/2012/12/31/news/economy/debt-ceiling/
for a discussion of the debt limit issue which can actually be put off for weeks.
