Every time Congress gets into a sticky mess like this fiscal cliff nonsense, I am reminded of this:



I was watching the House 'debate' on CSPAN this morning and thought of this wonderful scene once again. After delicately deciding to delay the vote on the fiscal cliff remedy, (and remember, we're supposed to know that this is one of the worst problems this country has ever faced in its 225+ year history), the House named two post offices.

Yes, even though we are supposedly on the brink of economic disaster, our esteemed representatives chose to stop solving that crisis and do some important stuff - like naming post offices!

Now if this isn't an example of them protecting their 'phony baloney jobs' then I don't know what to tell you.

And what better word is there to describe what goes on in Congress than HARUMPING?
