Something substantially less than what is considered middle-class income these days, right?

I don't expect much of a hit either, but then again I'm poor.

Is this satire? It's not clear

Millions of Americans don't even have a paycheck. There are no jobs. Employment benefits have been exhausted. Plenty of working class people can barely get by with the shitty paychecks they do get, as wages have stagnated for decades and costs keep rising.

Nasty stuff circulating on DU this week - rabid wolverines have more empathy than some folks around here. Don't let them get you on the ground, they'll gnaw off your leg and laugh while they're doing it.

caseworker regardless of whether people knew this would happen and the reasons why or not, it effects people. I myself by no means am excited about it either and I am a full time employee of the state I will get hit for about $20 per pay period, nothing big right? Well believe it or not I do live paycheck to paycheck.

That's pretty significant for some families.

It's a more significant amount than what the rich will be giving up in increased taxes.
