(DAILY HERALD) For Mark Kirk, there was no white light, no tunnel.

What Illinois’ junior U.S. senator experienced was three angels standing at the foot of his bed.

“You want to come with us?” Kirk was asked.

“No,” he told them. “I’ll hold off.”

The Highland Park Republican, who plans to return to the Senate when Congress convenes Thursday, recounted the story in his first in-depth interview since he suffered a massive stroke nearly a year ago.

but in one of mine I was in my local supermarket and I was being "work hardened" to ring up groceries...how sad is that? Sheesh...

unfortunately, the circumstances that landed me in the ICU were not of MY making...
btw, the technical term is "ICU psychosis."

instead of seeing Angels, he would follow the light to Universal Healthcare. Unfortunately, his stance on healthcare doesn't seem to have changed.

with the 3 angels being his wife and kids or some other loved ones who inspired or helped him to get better and want to live.
