SOTU speeches have made big news, been yawners, laced with lies. What do you think tonight's will be

This one in particular is the traditional kick off to the campaign season for incumbent first term presidents. I hope to hear some good "pulpit bully." I hope to hear some concrete plans for something, anything, that says to the repubicans that they have an actual job to do apart from getting reelected and getting their candidate nominated.

Barbara Bush's stupidest man-child old us all sorts of lies in SOTU speeches past. Bill Clinton got us all het up with visions of places to go. St. Ronald gave us meaningless, fatherly sounding platitudes while hiding his draconian agenda.

All sorts of candy and all manner of shit has emanated from SOTU speeches of yore. What do you expect of tonight's?

ETA the word "do" in the 1st ¶'s last sentence.

from the Republican POTUS-wannabes, it will be nice to hear a little reality get inserted into the conversation.
