Police said the employees at a store in the Crown Market Shopping Center were opening up shop when they found a gunman inside.

The man then tied up several employees, police said.

An employee was able to get loose during the robbery and took matters into his own hands, according to police.

The employee was able to fight the gun away from the robber and tossed it in the trash can.
