Ultimately, these assholes are showing the true colors of all the gun nuts - they are all Alex Jones and this dumbfuck. These are the people insisting that we have a "reasonable conversation" with them and come to "reasonable accommodations." In fact, they're all nothing but petty tyrants and bullies who need to be told how to act like grown ups. Whenever a gun nut tells you that you're not being "reasonable," or - and this is my favorite -that you're "hurting you're own cause," go at them harder, and watch their stupid ass veneer flake away into precisely this kind of nutjob response. This is the essence of gun nuttery, right here, and they're all like this.

the reference was that all "gun nuts" are like that.
"Gun nuts" meaning unhinged borderline sociopaths that go totally apeshit over potential regulations like the gentleman in the video, not necessarily people that are pro 2nd Amendment rights, like myself.

I'm a flaming liberal that likes to hunt. I think anyone that ain't batshit crazy should be able to own a few firearms for hunting and self defense.
But I am NOT for any civilians being able to purchase and own military grade weaponry without going through some very stringent psychological tests first.
The man in the video should probably have HIS guns taken away, because he appears to be a bit on the unstable side.

This stems from the fact that one of the victims of the shooting in College Station, TX last August was a personal friend of mine. The shooter had a history of mental illness (yeah, big surprise, huh?) In the aftermath, I wondered out loud here on DU if the shooter's family was culpable because they knew he was mentally ill and had a cache of firearms and they didn't let the authorities know about it. I was then told that even if they did tell the authorities, there was nothing the authorities could do since they get so many calls like that in the first place.

So here we are, right?

The CEO of a Tennessee company that specializes weapons and tactical training is threatening to “start killing people” if President Barack Obama moves forward with gun control measures
Raw Story (http://s.tt/1yf6S)

I just don't get it....It's been quite a few years ago.....A guy I worked with, had a younger brother, still in school and who rode a school bus.....Some sort of dust up on the bus,and the driver smacks little brother..... Co-worker meets bus the next morning, tells driver if he touches brother again,he will "kick drivers butt"....Co-worker is promptly arrested and charged with making "terroristic threats",a serious felony, which later was downgraded to some misdemeanor with a fine...

What I have trouble with is:If threatening to kick someones butt is a felony, how is threatening to kill people not?......

A random threat to "kill people" may be considered rage-filled venting by legal definition? Actually threatening a specific person may be the distinction.

Not a lawyer, just thinking out loud....but anyone as unhinged as this dude needs some help.

I hope he takes a good look at himself in the mirror and sees the ugliness.

Life is too short to stew in hatred and thoughts of murder.

But it's a booming business for those who sell the stew.

live by the sword, die by the sword. Anyway who owns a gun is far more likely to be killed by one than the general society. There is nothing suggesting his views had anything to do with it. Since he was killed with a GUN, it's safe to assume the murder wasn't someone who was anti-gun.

Your post is absurd and devoid of anything approaching logic.
