3. It isn't left/right. Authoritarian all comes about the same in the wash.

It is to a degree, Democratic and Republican but that is really a metro/rural conflict played up for a wedge.

What we have here is a libertarian/authoritarian issue, aka centralization/democratization of choice/form of government axis.

Left and right is an economic and role of government axis.

The Right is more than willing to exploit graphic imagery to sell their agenda.

The Left doesn't do that. Whether they should is up for debate. In some ways is can be effective but we have a tendency to think of ourselves as more cerebral and use appeals to an invisible neutral third party as opposed to an "in your face" method of shaming the opposition.

At any rate. The "Pro Life" crowd are in the same camp as the gun nuts. Killing the unborn is "murder" but dead kids in school is just something to be expected in today's world.
