Before the 2nd amendment mentions any right, it mentions a responsibility: "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state."

A militia is a necessary security measure, but not just any militia. The prime qualifier = "well regulated."

I don't want to see the 2nd Amendment go down, I want to see it fully and completely upheld.

As well as in hopes that the gun industry can sell more of their big sellers before they are band.

In mu opinion, it shows a lot of the gun industry's lost faith in the NRA. They don't think that the NRA can get enough to back them on the hill when the legislation goes for a vote.

... because of the anonymity that a computer in a basement somewhere out in the boondocks gives them. 20 dead babies are red herrings? Where is this SOB? I don't even own a gun, but I would sure volunteer to go knock on his/her door and make a red herring out of him/her with my

ten cold fingers, 2 arms and two legs.

The Right only pretends they care for kids, and that is only before they are born. When they are here, they don't care anymore, not one bit.

,and yes they have a web page for this, many of the sponsors are gun industry businesses. They want to do as much business as possible before they loss their big sellers.

And as I have said before, I think they don't have faith in the NRA to stop any new regulation.

the gun manufacturers are sponsoring this, just as they sponsor the NRA. The Koch Brothers dirty hands are in the pot as well, because they also sponsor the NRA. This entire disrespectful, dishonorable, and callous display of gun nuttery is typical of the right-wing and our very own Gungeon dwellers.

Why every day for a number of years now our Government and Military kills children and so many thump their chest, wave their little flag and chant USA, USA, USA.

The US kills more kids then Newton every week if not day but the kids are not white and middle class nor American, nor is there any outrage.

USA, USA, USA!

to do something about problems that people regard as more concrete to our immediate physical interests.

You and I know it SHOULD be otherwise, but that IS the way it is. If you think it is possible to somehow jump ahead of, or over-ride, that perceived order of priorities and create that kind of political constituency out of ________________ within a time-frame that would actually meet the needs of the people who are being killed, I'd like very much to see HOW you think that could happen.

Yes it's CORRUPT, but until something fundamental changes (and *WHEN* that happens), the reality is that deconstructing the constituency that could bring that about works against slowing down, let alone stopping, the things that are causing these crimes.
