Florida Satanists holding rally in support of Republican Gov. Rick Scott

Conservative governors across the United States have universally garnered support from Evangelical Christians, but Florida Governor and Tea Party favorite, Rick Scott, is seeing support from an unlikely group of people.


According to the Miami Herald, an organization of Florida Satanists are planning to hold a rally in support of the governor, applauding him for his religious support. In February of 2012, Scott approved a bill that would let students decide whether religious prayer would be held in public school, creating much controversy with secular students and their families. The group, known as the "Satanic Temple," will be holding the rally on January 25th right outside Gov. Scott's office. The temple has released a press release, which can partly be read below.
