The Kansas City Gun Show draws huge crowds

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Gun Show is drawing big crowds this weekend as gun enthusiasts fear more legislation and less access to firearms.

Doors at the KCI Expo Center opened at 8:00 o'clock Saturday morning but some of the attendees showed up an hour early to purchase firearms.

Rex Kehrli, the gun show promoter, arrived just before 7 a.m. and was surprised by the line of people standing outside waiting to get in. He is not accustomed to seeing lines before the doors even open and explained many of the attendees are looking for assault rifles, fearing a ban in the near future.

"A lot of people seem to be looking for the AR-15's right now, but also the gun sales in general for any and all firearms are really quite good," Kehrli said.

Gun enthusiasts are also noticing an increase in pricing, spurred on by the fear of gun control legislation. While some attendees are shopping for guns, others had for sales signs strapped to their firearms, trying to sell them and make a profit.

Gary Hoeflicker has been buying and selling guns for years.

"One guy bought one in Walmart for a thousand bucks and walked out the door and a guy offered him $1,500 for it. So, he made $500 in 10 minutes," Hoeflicker said.

I am sure plenty of people want them. I just don't understand why people think they need them.

Lots of people dealing who should be licensed but are not, so the guns are untraceable. And the RW propaganda displayed would blow your mind - Nazi memorabilia, militia information, all kinds of creepy stuff.
