when Pat Buchanan called for culture war at the Republican convention. Then it was to preserve white, Christian men, and it was implied gun ownership. Now it is front and center.

When will they realize that theirs is a dying culture?

Over time an overall sentiment builds in the collective consciousness. Then something traumatic happens and provides the tipping point.

The tragic, terrifying death of 20 children at Sandy Hook has provided that tipping point.
