Heard Romney being referred to as "he who will not be named" ...

but then, the same speaker called the President "Obamanos", so I wasn't sure which way the guy leaned ...

(I can understand the idea that "He who will not be named" could refer to Romney as "Voldemort" ...)

1. Obamanos

"Obamanos" is a strange bit of political Spanglish, often seen in the past few months on bumper stickers in states with large Hispanic populations. The term translates -- in essence, not literally -- to "let's go Obama."

This has been the general spirit in San Miguel de Allende, a colonial town in the mountains of central Mexico. The mood was especially evident tonight after Barack Obama was elected the 44th president of its northern neighbor.

"It's good because he's moreno (brown-skinned) and I know morenos have faced a lot of discrimination and resistance," Martha Aguilar, my children's 18-year-old babysitter, told me. "I think it will mean that Mexicans in the United States will be treated better. I think they'll have more opportunity."

The woman who tutors me in Spanish was probably even more ecstatic than I was over Obama's victory (if that is possible). "It makes me feel better about America. It gives me hope that America can be a leader in the world again," she told me. She was especially excited to have a liberal win, after the liberal candidate for president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, lost in 2006. "I'm happy that some where out there liberals still live."

however, despite a lot of George Zimmerman "correctors" doubting me, there is a term "White, non-Hispanic".

I know ... because I worked the 2010 census, and the categorizations were in two different questions. So there is "White, non-Hispanic".

Romney lost this last election not just the Presidential part, but he took out a lot of other Republicans in the process. Hopefully in 2016 they put up another equally repulsive candidate.

Chris Christy is actually their only hope. But, they would never nominate him. He is too outspoken against the PTB conservatives and he is pro choice and a whole lot of other issues. His weight is one of them a lot of conservatives are fat phobic so are a lot of liberals, but it is far more likely a conservative will punish a candidate for perceptual flaws than a liberal will.

That being said, I don't think even Christy is smart or talented enough to fool 51% of the electorate, he just comes the closest.

Via a combo of Indie and Dem crossovers during primaries, and a scorched earth back room campaign by relatively sane Repugs to send the craziest among them packing.

Rubio, Cruz and the like have now been revealed as certifiable, with their witless anti-gun safety stances. Who is left? Jeb ("Don't say my last name&quot BUSH.

That leaves Christy, possibly on the table now, getting his intestines clamped and cuddling up to the reprehensible Ayote (sp?) to bridge the gender gap as his VP choice.

If he spurns the stupid Ayote and goes "moderate " anyone else -- worse for us.

Hoping here they remain complete ideological idiots for the election, but send some Reps and Sens with 3 digit IQs, if splitting tickets.

the great PR,the dedication, the unbeatable storyline. Of course he'd have to do it one on one since he'd have to stay in state for the ploy to work while he's serving as governor, but he could come out of it 200 or so pounds lighter, looking great and the most popular pol in the country. I think he's a nasty bully who'd more than likely drive the country back into the ground, but I also think this scenario is all too plausible and in character.

Am I nuts or what?

Plus, it takes away a lot of "governing" time.

Think he will go surgery and then Oprah.

Another possibility -- keep fat and get the obese vote ( also huge, yes pun intended.)

Not a complete joke, I struggle with the issue as well.

It's hard to believe that's possible. The other repugs were creepy and batshit crazy, but at least they said what they meant and meant what they said. Robme's "who me?" routine put him on an entirely new level of repulsive.

gaaaah! It's thanksgiving day again today. Thank you Dear Gods and Goddesses for sparing us the sight of Her Royal Haughtiness Dressage Queen Annie holding the Mormon bible (whatever book it is they have) for the swearing in of Mittens.

Not to mention for providing us the beautiful sight of our gorgeous First Lady Michelle with her new 'do (which I happen to already have been sporting, albeit in salt and pepper), her beautiful daughters, and President Obama. I only wish he'd been sworn in by Justice Sotomayor, who made a much better pic with VP Biden and Jill than Roberts ever could...

and credibility for many who did vote for him.

Who were the alternatives? bizarre Bachmann? Neanderthal Santorum? has been hysterical Gingrich? megalomaniac Cain? clueless Perry?

Had any of the others been the nominee they would have lost be a let less than 47%
