The local paper finally published my letter (written a almost a month ago).

The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram (can't link to letters page)

Editor:

Governor Walker told us that his top three priorities would be “Jobs, jobs and jobs.” Clearly, his intense focus on jobs is having effects—just not the effects he promised us.

According to a study by the Institute for Wisconsin’s Future, Wisconsin has lost about 28,000 jobs since June 2011, more than any other state in the Union, and the gap is widening between us and the rest of the nation. Our job losses continue while in the nation on the whole, employment is starting to recover.

At the same time, Walker rejected about $550 million in Federal aid in 2011 for purposes such as high-speed rail, broadband internet technologies, and vocational rehabilitation.

His slashes to the state budget have resulted in losses in Eau Claire County alone of nearly $8 million in general school aid and $16 million in general loss of purchasing power.

I’m not sure how much more of Walker’s notion of prosperity the people of this state can stand.

Didn't Walker also slash taxes for businesses? Tax cuts and austerity measures do not create jobs. Republicans are economic idiots.

by way of about $150 mil (ballpark) giveaway to business & then used his self-inflicted crisis as the excuse for his attack on the state employees & teachers.
