For Sale: Chrysler 300C - Price: $1 Million

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- A Chrysler 300C once leased by President Barack Obama is for sale on eBay with the eye-popping "opening bid" of $1 million.

The woman who posted the car on eBay Motors, Lisa Czibor, said she has received some criticism for the high asking price but that the current owner of the car fully expects to get that amount.

Czibor said in a phone interview with CNNMoney that she is listing the car for someone else but looks forward to getting a commission on the sale. She describes herself as a "life-long Ronald Reagan old-school conservative."

If the transmission went out of your 300C or any car with an automatic these days, it simply proves that you were too stupid to change the fluid or do maintenance. Crack open the owner's manual, why don't you?.....

It's a known problem on 300C since 2005 that the transmissions have all kinds of problems. I rented a 2010 model in Virginia last year and got stuck in a 3 different toll boths because the damn thing wouldn't take off. Rev-Slip, clunk Slip bigger clunk slip grab Woohoo I'm moving!!!! Car had 13K on it from National.

Two co-workers both with the hemi have had problems. One had his replaced under warranty, the other traded his in on a new Dodge trunk on a hot summer day when it wasn't acting up

The engine is great, interior and styling great, they just have shitty transmissions. Deal with it...


Oh, and if your curious-
I drive a 03' Dakota Quad Cab with the 4.7 (some mild mods) and the 5-speed auto with 113K on it.
If I fire it up on a real cold morning and throw it in gear right away I got nothing (neutral basically) for about 5-6 seconds. You got to give them a minute for fluid pressure to build. I try to let my vehicles warm up before putting a load on the engine anyways.

Also, never buy an 99-01 Dodge with the 4.7L V8. They made the oil guides way to small (but never admitted to it (I.E. recall)) and it caused loss of oil pressure and major problems for a lot of folks. You can google that too if you want. Lot's of folks wanted a class-action on it. Sometime in end of 01 to beginning of 02 they fixed the oil guide problem.

Wife's car is an 06' Grand Prix with 0 problems ever (3.8L V6 one of the best engines ever by GM)

And my Yamaha V-Star in the garage...



So, no Toyotas but ya never know!

This isn't on her. It's on whoever owns the car and wants to cash in like that. It's ridiculous.

Absolutely nothing special about the car. Nothing. A celebrity owner for a total vanilla car ain't worth a whole lot. Especially a non-car guy, who may have never opened the hood or washed it himself.
