CAMAS, Wash. - Frustrated after a Tuesday basketball game between the Camas and Skyview boys teams, a parent posted a message on Facebook, saying I hope someone shoots up the (Camas) school real soon.
Notified by the school, police are now investigating the parent, officials said Wednesday.
The man, identified as a parent of a Skyview High School player, posted the Facebook status update sometime after the Tuesday evening game.

The door swings both ways, however what stands out is the extreme on both sides.
Today seems to be the time and age of the complete fucking moron, and the media is even the less for running with it every time.
Hopefully we will grow out of it soon.

(1,044 posts)It's a blessing. It lets law enforcement ID the nutjobs easily.
Enact a mandatory 2-year prison sentence for such threats, and it'll stop soon enough. But in the meantime, it's good that morons self-identify publicly.

(10,201 posts)Sometimes folks just simply use social media as a place to vent without any meat behind the post...
Are we going to start arresting folks for making bullshit posts on Twitter? Where is the line drawn?
As I recall there were folks threatening to riot if Obama did not get re-elected. Should they have all been arrested and tossed in jail for 2 years? Or were they just simply bullshitting?

(32,005 posts)Yeah the ones who scream at refs and even get in fights. The facebook post was WAY beyond passive-aggressive. It was threatening. And it is sick how Sandy Hook has brought out the violent mentality of some people whether this shoddy excuse of a parent or a college student who called campus police with a hoax gunman report.

(129 posts)Sheesh, I thought it had to be a dumbass kid until I read this thread . . . yes, prosecute the parent to make an example out of him/her for others - even if this parent "didn't mean it", it's still unacceptable in every way.
