The Associated Press

WASHINGTON -- A lone protester shouting about the Middle East interrupted Sen. John Kerry's confirmation hearing for secretary of state.

Just as Kerry completed his prepared testimony, the woman began shouting about the Middle East. She was escorted from the room.

Kerry alluded to the interruption, telling the Foreign Relations Committee he respects the tradition of free speech and thought.

This is the guy we should have elected President in '04.....but, oh wait, that one was stolen, never mind.....

Still, though, glad to have the guy on our team.

rather than irritation. I'm waiting for the peanut gallery to criticize him for saying he respected her opinion!

John Kerry is going to make a great SoS, just like he would have made a great President.

Kerry is a world above the current crop of teabaggers who seek to serve themselves by fleecing the public. He will do a fine job wherever he is and I look forward to seeing him confirmed quickly.

Otherwise it could have looked bad considering his own history of protest!

He's just calming - and he is cool and collected.

Joe Biden says "It's going to be alright" with a wink and a big smile
Kerry says "I understand" with a nod of the head and humble facial expression.
Obama? He just makes me feel good when I see him! Even when he's angry - I feel good.

That's going to be a good 'team'.

...And Hillary did a fine job,

BUT,
*until the USA takes a stand against the continuing piecemeal theft of Palestinian land by the Jewish "settlements",

*and ends the hostile demonization of the emerging true Democracies in Latin America,
and continues to support the few remaining Right Wing Authoritarian Militarized Death Squad Police States (like Colombia) in Central & South America,
we will continue to have BIG problems in The World,
manufacture MORE enemies,
and continue to be on the WRONG side of History.

What amazes me, and frightens me,
is how consistent our Foreign Policy is,
no matter WHO we elect as President,
or which major party controls Congress.

VIVA Democracy!
