The Only Way Vets Would Get Disability Is If They Took A Bullet Or Shrapnel If GOP Had Its Way.

You would have to be in a combat zone in a declared war in their book. Hurt vets are just too expensive to take care of.
What is most egregious is that GOPPERS see vets as takers and welfare recipients.

2. I Don't Have A Particular Source ---- Here Is My Logic

I spend a lot of time trying to listen to the background noise on issues. And I look at where the logic and common sense takes me as to the end result of the "code" rhetoric being used. Sometime I am wrong, but I find that end the end my suspicions end up being right on track.

There is a lot more to what is said openly and directly. Over time things do surface. And I know from listening to the GOP that they do not want to pay for things like vets care.

On the other hand I spent a lot of time around vets reps and was in contact with vets programs at the state and federal level. I have seen how claims are treated. And the goal of the VA is to deny and delay until the vet gives up or dies. There are a lot of GOP moles in the federal government these days who believe in GOP policies. It is easy to lose or overlook files, misinterpret a law or directive, etc etc. And I have seen a lot of tactics.

The damage from the Bush years is still being done because they have had so many years to salt its conservative philosophy in the administrative framework. And I see things happening all the time.

There are elements in the GOP who believe that the disability rating system is too generous. And there have been strong rumors that conservatives essentially believe that on wounds received in direct combat operations should apply under the disability system. That means in code that only open wounds should count. Illnesses, accidents, and other non direct combat injuries are not relevant in their view. They essentially see such incidents as more related to civilian work injuries treated under systems like workmen's comp.

I wish I had a particular source. A lot of what I think has to do with the years of time I have in dealing with these disability systems. Case in point we are now seeing "Gulf War Syndrome" in recent Iraq War and Afghan vets that will not be considered as a disability because it is not defined. And hell will freeze over before it is recognized because they demand direct absolutely clear evidence that it exists.

They do not want recognize what you cannot see like a bullet wound. That is because it can take a vets lifetime to treat these problems that are permanent.

... including healthcare, education, commissaries, etc. But none of this is needed to see that the Republican's only use of service men and women is to protect their corporate interests. Our defense budget pays for keeping the oil flowing, keeps the crap products made by slave labor coming to our shores.

And to feed the insatiable greed of the Military Industrial Complex.

We already had a defense department larger than the next dozen nations combined when 9/11 hit but that didn't stop us from doubling the size of the Pentagon budget AND adding the DHS.

The little people are kept so poor that they see being spent as cannon fodder as a meaningful way to feed their families. There was a well-documented case in Wisconsin where a 40-something guy enlisted in the Army so his wife could get health care. It was the only option they had.

Keep 'em poor, and fill the ranks of our "volunteer" military. If you live through it and want to quit, don't worry, we're taking good care. There's a no-benefits job at WalMart just waiting for you.

And this, now almost three years old ...
