Is a false statistic. When extensions run out and people drop off it it looks lower. When many self employed lose their business they don't even show up on the stats EVER. And there are millions of us in these two positions and we are not counted. Do you remember tarp? How much of that has been paid back? Have you heard of Q Eternity? Lets really look at the facts of which you speak.

It IS simply a measurable fact that 3.8 million jobs have been created since the start of 2010, and that number only goes up to the end of the 3rd quarter of 2012. More were created in the 4th quarter I am sure

26. You are incorrect. Self-employed people that are no longer working are counted.

Always have been.

The metric used and statistical analysis of counting unemployed in this country is quite sophisticated.

When UI runs out, people are STILL counted as unemployed, they just don't disappear from the record.
