GOP Strategist: There Is No Romney Wing Of The Republican Party
Longtime Republican strategist Ed Rogers expressed admiration for the party's 2012 presidential nominee but conceded that there is no segment of the GOP that's marching in lockstep with Mitt Romney, the Washington Post reported Friday.
Romney is becoming more of an admired figure and no one gets any applause for punching him, Rogers told the Washington Post. However, there is no Romney faction or Romney wing of the GOP that is keeping the flame alive. No one tailors their policies because it was what Romney supported in the 2012 campaign. No one feels like they need to be loyal to the Romney position on any issue.

OP
No matter what position they pick on any issue, they'll hit one Romney supported at least once.

The Republicans don't have a leader. They're a party of followers, walking in circles.

That's certainly understandable.

The man never had just one position on any issue. He always was on both sides.

And if you'd paid close attention to Mittens, you'd know he managed to find and support/oppose all of them

even President O got a few licks in when he invited the mittster to the white house for lunch then served him White Turkey Chili.
I still laugh when I think of the mastery of that

Confirmed: Mitt Romney full of crap
Oh, this is rich. One of Mitt Romney's top campaign advisers has gone whining to Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler, asking him to say that Romney's Jeep-to-China lie wasn't actually a lie. Why you'd go looking for redemption on your lies months after your candidate lost, I don't know, but that's what Stuart Stevens has done:

(35,699 posts)8. Of course there is no "Ed Rogers Wing" either.
Exactly what would be an Ed Rogers wing anyway? Didn't he work for Ross Perot at one point?
So there is some pot kettle blacking going on here.
