Today in Peace and Justice history on January 25, 1930

Mahatma Gandhi issued the Declaration of Independence of India. To achieve this goal Gandhi adopted the non-violent tactic of challenging the British monopoly on salt - it was illegal for anyone other than the British government in India to manufacture or sell salt. http://bit.ly/V4rcuE
