NLRB ‘Respectfully Disagrees’ With Court Decision On Obama Appointments

Mark Gaston Pearce, who was appointed chairman of the National Labor Review Board in August of 2011 by President Obama, said on Friday that the Board disagrees with an appellate court decision ruling several Obama labor appointees unconstitutional because they were made while the Senate was on "recess."

"The Board respectfully disagrees with today’s decision and believes that the President’s position in the matter will ultimately be upheld," Pearce said in a statement. "It should be noted that this order applies to only one specific case, Noel Canning, and that similar questions have been been raised in more than a dozen cases pending in other courts of appeals."
