FAR FREAKING OUT! Obama Wins 2nd Term in a Landslide!

I REALLY wanted that to be my 10,000th post, I just couldn't pull enough comments together in time...

Seriously though, somebody needs to call Harry Reid and let him know - dude's acting like Oliver Twist, begging for a second bowl of gruel.

Rock on DU.

doesn't mean that Harry has enough Dems on board to get what he wants in the Senate. He can't hypnotize them into voting the way he wants.

Same with the damn assualt weapons ban. I read Senator Franken is not sure which way he goes on it.. It sucks. It has to be changed at ground level..starting with the Senators and Reps. Not that anyone wants to vote out Franken because he's so good in every other way.

He talked up a storm, then did exactly what he promised he wouldn't!

He may have done all he could, but if that's true, then Reid needs to step down as leader. If he didn't do his best, then he needs to be relieved.

We need new leadership in the Senate.

and I guess the best way for you and others who want Reid out of the Leadership over this.. would be to contact those Senate Dems and let them know how you feel.

Maybe they found a few dumptrucks of uncounted Democratic ballots here and there?

Congrats. So happy for your 10,000 threshold "coming out".

ELECTION SPOILER: Obama wins in a LANDSLIDE

The end of the Republican Party/Conservative Movement/Regressive Movement is at hand.
2014 is the next step to close the coffin on this future corpse.

Democratic Party, the ball's in your court now.
What you do within the next 4 years determines the validity of the Democratic Party.
Embrace the Progressive Movement openly & fearlessly & you will be successful.

Third Way crap is over.
No more useless deals.
Push the Republicans to the margins of political thought & start repairing the damage you have enabled over the past few decades.

There's no better time than now to do it.
All the circumstances have lined up in your favor.
Do the right thing, Democrats.
John Lucas

plus I'm like Harry, it turns out. They can no longer filibuster debate. If they filibuster after a bill is passed, then they won't get the majority, I'm thinkin'.
