Palin continues: "See, his commitment to our children is selective. When children in the womb are on the chopping block, the President is silent. When he places the Second Amendment, however, on the chopping block, children are his focus. Never mind the fact that his latest proposals would not protect them from evildoers and would, in fact, leave responsible, law-abiding citizens less able to protect them as well ... Clearly, there is no shortage of hypocrisy coming out of Washington, and this is just one example."

How's that for being tossed into the dustbin of history?

(297,154 posts)'cause that the only way she can get "published". When she does it herself where everyone else Posts.
But, only on "Thursdays" That's when her brain has a fart.

(6,440 posts)More of a paraphrase of her behavior early last year, when she toured in her RV, milking the rubes for cash while dropping non-specific hints about running for President, knowing that in the Rightwingoverse, she is a universally loved figure who would win any election she ran in by a landslide.

(21,478 posts)They are so unbelievably deluded; she has no interest in running for office, just fleecing the rubes. However, one of them did post what I absolutely believe would be a dream ticket for Dems to run against in 2016:

(5,756 posts)So I'm betting FOX is very thankful her contracted ended. They probably offered a much lower annual take than the $1 million on purpose to get her to say no.
Somehow she just really strikes me as a princess and prima donna.

(1,135 posts)A couple nights ago I finally got to see "Game Change", out on DVD from Netflix. I was amazed at how awful she was and how mentally unbalanced. Both Wallace and Schmidt have said that the movie is very accurate.

(6,234 posts)Though in truth it wasn't Palin that did it. It was the talking heads who decided to defend her. I think that Palin was, for millions, the ultimate dash of cold water that demonstrated just how demented the GOP had become. Some truths are so obvious that they simply cannot be ignored -- even by those living in the bubble. Trying to paint Palin as some kind of backwoods intellectual wasn't just insane, it was INSULTING to basically everyone in the country.
Thank god they believe their own bullshit. Thank god they kept rolling her out as long as they did.

(2,286 posts)It was the party telling us exactly what they thought of women -- that we are so stupid that we will vote for anyone with a vagina and that we will "fall in love" with someone who was supposedly just like us. That somehow Palin was Hillary's equal.

(1,437 posts)is gearing up for a change in emphasis, moving toward a more progressive-friendly news network. Douchie and the gang are boning up onand trying desperately to understandliberal causes as we speak, and O'Reilly and Hannity are watching as much MSNBC as they can so that they know how to present true facts and logic in a calm and reasonable fashion.
They have a tough climb ahead of them, but I'm rooting for them.
