Maybe this was the last straw:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/22/sarah-palin-roe-v-wade_n_2529667.html

"Using kids as the backdrop for his gun control speech, the President claimed his commitment to young ones," Palin wrote. "The hypocrisy of it all, however, is that while the President publicly acknowledges the value of “even one life” when it advances his own political agenda, he fails to acknowledge as much when it comes to protecting the lives of children soon to be born."

Palin continues: "See, his commitment to our children is selective. When children in the womb are on the chopping block, the President is silent. When he places the Second Amendment, however, on the chopping block, children are his focus. Never mind the fact that his latest proposals would not protect them from evildoers and would, in fact, leave responsible, law-abiding citizens less able to protect them as well ... Clearly, there is no shortage of hypocrisy coming out of Washington, and this is just one example."

More of a paraphrase of her behavior early last year, when she toured in her RV, milking the rubes for cash while dropping non-specific hints about running for President, knowing that in the Rightwingoverse, she is a universally loved figure who would win any election she ran in by a landslide.

So I'm betting FOX is very thankful her contracted ended. They probably offered a much lower annual take than the $1 million on purpose to get her to say no.

Somehow she just really strikes me as a princess and prima donna.

Fri Jan 25, 2013, 07:27 PM

Though in truth it wasn't Palin that did it. It was the talking heads who decided to defend her. I think that Palin was, for millions, the ultimate dash of cold water that demonstrated just how demented the GOP had become. Some truths are so obvious that they simply cannot be ignored -- even by those living in the bubble. Trying to paint Palin as some kind of backwoods intellectual wasn't just insane, it was INSULTING to basically everyone in the country.

Thank god they believe their own bullshit. Thank god they kept rolling her out as long as they did.

It was the party telling us exactly what they thought of women -- that we are so stupid that we will vote for anyone with a vagina and that we will "fall in love" with someone who was supposedly just like us. That somehow Palin was Hillary's equal.

is gearing up for a change in emphasis, moving toward a more progressive-friendly news network. Douchie and the gang are boning up on—and trying desperately to understand—liberal causes as we speak, and O'Reilly and Hannity are watching as much MSNBC as they can so that they know how to present true facts and logic in a calm and reasonable fashion.

They have a tough climb ahead of them, but I'm rooting for them.
